The Role of Employee Resource Groups
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) at College of Marin are voluntary, employee led groups formed around shared interests, identities, or lived experiences. They exist to support the College's commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging by creating spaces where employees can connect, be heard, and contribute to a welcoming campus culture for all.
ERGs foster community, professional growth, and engagement by providing opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, advocacy, and learning. Through events, dialogue, and partnership with College leadership, ERGs help strengthen employee engagement and support the recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce.
By amplifying employee voices and perspectives, ERGs also serve the broader College of Marin community. Their work informs institutional practices, promotes cultural awareness, and helps ensure that the College remains responsive to the needs of its employees and the students and communities they serve.
