2025-2026 Annual Open Enrollment

We are pleased to announce the 2025-2026 Annual Open Enrollment for all benefit eligible employees, beginning Friday, August 1, 2025, through Monday, August 25, 2025.

Please Note: The 2025 Open Enrollment period is for changes only. If you do not wish to make any changes to your current benefits, no action is required. However, if you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and wish to continue participation for the period of October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026, you must re-enroll—this is considered a change and requires action during the open enrollment period.

College of Marin understands the importance of offering a comprehensive benefit program that meets the needs of our diverse workforce. We are pleased to continue to provide a suite of quality benefit plans to all benefit eligible employees for the 2025-2026 plan year.

If you are not making any changes, your current benefits will continue.

Any Open Enrollment changes for you and/or your dependents will go into effect on October 1, 2025, with any medical employee premium contribution changes beginning on the September 2025 payroll.

Typical changes include:

  • Switch from one medical plan to another.

  • Terminate a dependent.
  • Enroll in a health/dental plan that you previously waived/terminated coverage.
  • Enroll or continue in a Medical or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account.
  • Enroll in Voluntary Coverages through Colonial Life or Sterling (FSA or HSA).
  • Designate any premium contribution as pre-tax, through the Cafeteria 125 Plan.

After August 25, 2025, employees will not be able to change their benefit elections until the next Open Enrollment in 2026, unless you have a ‘mid-year qualifying event’ like a change in your marital status, the birth of a baby, loss of other coverage, etc.
